Hands on practical learning for young drivers

One of our clients here at Korio is the not-for-profit organisation Street Smart who run hands-on, practical young driver training at various Motorsports Parks around the motu, including here in Taupō. Street Smart is an organisation close to our hearts - we are passionate about keeping our young people safe on the roads.

In 2025…

  • 5 locations across the country

  • 32 training days

  • Over 1,100 young drivers (and their guardians) have experienced Street Smart

Korio is proud to be part of the wider Street Smart team and we can’t wait for more Street Smart in 2026!

 

At Korio we are especially proud to have initiated ‘Drive their Future’ where we reached out to other local Taupō businesses and together put 20 local Taupō rangatahi through a Street Smart training day in September 2025.

We have been working with Street Smart to identify ways other communities can get behind the initiative - after all, we know we are not the only ones who care deeply about the safety of our young people (on and off the roads).
